Because it is part of the very busy south east of England, Kent is often overlooked as a photographic destination, however with only a little effort there are some splendid photography locations to be had. From the iconic wide open spaces, shingle beach and myriad wrecks of Dungeness, to the white cliffs and beaches, and the stunning Bodiam Castle, there is something for everyone in this trip. Why not come and see what Kent really has to offer.

Itinerary
N.B. this itinerary is indicative - if the weather dictates otherwise we may need to switch it around a bit!

23.10.20 – 10 a.m. meet in the car park of the Pilot Inn at Dungeness

a.m we will spend half a day at this fabulous location, which will give us time to really familiarise ourselves with it and get out photographic eye in - so that when we come back for a sunset shoot we will know just where we want to be - no doubt you will all have a different idea of what you want!

p.m.St Thomas a Becket church, Fairfield. A gloriously english spot as the river meanders it's way towards the church amongst the soft meadow scenery.

golden hour / sunset - Bodiam Castle. Completely surrounded by a moat the soft golden hour light will illuminate the castle beautifully - and hopefully we will get some lovely sunset colour too.

24.10.20 – 9.30 a.m. meeting place to be agreed

a.m.travel to Botany Bay and Kingsgate Bay - shoot stunning white cliffs, long golden beaches, and sea stacks.

p.m. architectural photography in the beautiful town of Canterbury - narrow streets, cobbles, and beautiful buildings including of course the famous Cathedral. You can even have yourself some street photography if that takes your fancy.

25.10.20 - 10 a.m meet in Dover - exact location to be agreed

a.m - walk along the pier (chance to photograph cruise liners/boats if you wish) to the very end; this gives us the chance to shoot across the water to the other pier head with it's lighthouse and the white cliffs in the background.

late morning - St Margarets Bay - another super golden beach, promenade and iconic white cliffs

p.m - back to Dungeness for another chance to get that iconic shot but this time with golden hour light and hopefully a decent sunset.
